Thoughts on Apple's announcements.
Okay, so the Stevenote is over, with some neat new announcements on Apple’s part. Firstly:  iOS 4.1 is coming out next week for iPhone and iPod Touch. Free download via iTunes. Bugs that are fixed: Proximity, Bluetooth, and iPhone 3G performance issues. It will feature High Dynamic Range photos, HD video upload over WiFi, Game Center. - This is huge. iOS 4.1 fixes all the problems with...

All done.
All done. Hey everyone, I thought I’d tell you what’s going on with the blogs. Firstly, I have two. I’m two different people, so why not? Now you might be thinking, Wait, hold up what?! Let me explain. Online, I’m a Graphic Designer, and to my friends, I’m an ordinary 16 year old boy. This gets incredibly frustrating, as I can’t post half the stuff I want to to my friends, and half the stuff I...

England.
Being British is about driving a German car to an Irish pub for a Belgian beer. Then travelling home, grabbing an Indian curry or a Turkish kebab on the way, to sit on Swedish furniture and watch American shows on a Japanise TV.

Quick iPhone 4 review and video.
So I used my iPhone 4 for the first time today in the wild, well, on a day out if you must. It’s phenomenal and oh so much better than my 3G. Firstly it’s fast. Really fast. I was cutting and editing a video all day (embedded below) and it still ran like a beaut. I used it to check in with Gowalla, tweeted, checked facebook, phoned and texted people most of the day, Tracked the train...

Doctor Who.
Doctor Who reminds me why it is brilliant to be british. This is TV at its best. Steven Moffat has crafted a thing of beauty this series, and it’s all about to end next week at 6.05PM. Now I’m usually very into the program, but never as much as this, this truly has me thinking at every single twist, every single prolonged shot and every weird expression. The series is full of...

A week with the iPad.
I’ve had my iPad a week, it’s changed a lot of things. 1. I am dreading opening Mail on my MacBook, for the past week, email has all been done from iPad. I’ve got through a hell of a lot more too! 2. My MacBook now feels a lot heavier. 3. Going from the iPhone to the iPad is a little weird at first. I’m used to rotating my iPhone to portrait when I get to the...

PairUp London.
PairUp London just released tickets for their two day conference in the center of London on the 8th and 9th of April. The brilliant thing is, this will be on during spring break, which means I don’t have to fake being ill, or write a ass-licking letter to the school. Kick-ass. If you’re thinking of coming, shoot me an @reply, it’d be great to meet more of you in person, and we...

The problem with facebook apps.
Now I’m not usually against facebook applications, (many of you may know about my recent Farmville addiction), but when they mimic Facebook’s functionality WORD FOR WORD, there is something very wrong. I signed into facebook just moments before writing this, and here is what I saw. To any normal human being, that would look like someone has commented on a photo you have uploaded,...

Apple Store madness.
Apple stores don’t have “no smoking” signs. Legally they need them but they “ruin the design of the store”, so for every apple store in the UK they pay £50 a day to keep their windows sign free. Crazy shit. EDIT: I forgot to include the source, it’s a friend who works in the Apple Store in Norwich, The evidence is the fact that they aren’t actually in the windows.

Films I'm looking forward to in 2010.
Good evening all, Tonight I’ve been going through a lot of trailers online and have cut down to my top 5 films I’m looking forward to this year, Last year was a brilliant year for film, with “The Dark Knight” “Avatar” and many more phenomenal masterpieces, can 2010 top it? I think so, here are my top 5 films I want to see: Clash of the Titans: I’m a...

New Years resolutions.
Everyone is doing a post on their new years resolutions and here are mine. To produce a short film, with the help of a bunch of friends in real life and twitter. To create a project under the halfbox brand. Start a blog with Laura Parrott. Do well in my GCSE’s. Get a job. For those of you keeping track, my birthday is in 5 days, so the job thing will be possible then. Good night to all...

Week ending 18th December.
Good evening! It’s been a hell of a long time (yet again) since I updated this, I apologise. I guess you all want an update on my life, here goes. 1. School. School is going well, for once, I’ve got my work done, (mostly) I’ve worked out what I need to revise for my mocks after Christmas, I’ve got enough work to keep me happy over the two weeks I get off. One thing...

My iPhone apps.
So I’ve been seeing a lot of people asking about iPhone apps and what different people use from day to day. I thought it would be appropriate to show off what apps I use and highlight a few of my ultimate favourites. This isn’t very interesting. It’s just the default applications that come with the iPhone, with the app store and iTunes store moved to the next page. I always...

Show me your Dock!
So I’ve been reading a lot of blogs recently, and Grace Smith has got a new feature on hers called “Show me your Dock!” Where designers show off their Mac’s dock and explain why and what each application icon is. I’m not cool enough to get on her blog, so I decided to create my own, right here. (click to expand) Finder: Not going to get to that one, it’s...

FOWD.
Another week, another trip to London and this time, for FOWD! Which involved waking up at 6AM, getting the train to Liverpool street for 7.40 and meeting Rob at what I thought was 9AM, (we’ll get on to that later). Oh, and my hat. As I pulled in to Liverpool Street, I was greeted by a lovely poster with massive text saying “SWINE FLU HITS LONDON” Shitters. What a great start to...

Social Media Camp
Saturday the 25th March 2009. 6AM. The day of Social Media Camp. I’ve got my laptop, my phone, my cables, my business cards, my hat, I’m all good. Out the door. Social Media camp was the first fully fledged web event I’d been to, other than FOWD (where I went only for Diggnation) I have to say, it was the best day I’ve had in a long time. Pulling into Liverpool street at...
